SANDAG is developing San Diego Forward: The 2019-2050 Regional Plan, which will provide a 30 year vision for our region. The 2019 Regional Plan will provide a comprehensive path forward for the future of our region, forecasting various components such as population, where people will live, and where they will work. The plan will consider land use, transportation, open space, technology, and greenhouse gas reduction strategies to craft the overarching vision for the future. Using community input gathered in spring 2018, SANDAG identified several priorities that were used to develop three transportation network concepts.
There are several opportunities to review the concepts and share your input. We hope that you can share the interactive online survey with your students by October 31. Participants can select their areas of priority, see how each concept performs, and provide input that will be used to develop draft transportation network scenarios, which will be released for another round of public review and comment later this winter.
Please also consider attending the open house hosted by SANDAG on October 16 from 4-7 p.m. at San Diego City College or participating in one of five local community conversations. To learn more about the 2019 Regional Plan or to get involved, visit SDForward.com and sign up to receive updates.
